Susu is a product of Elianah Global Solutions Ltd, a technology company building digital infrastructure for Africa’s rotating savings economy.

  • Waitlist sign-up (required): First name and email address
  • Profile completion (optional): Your role in a savings group, typical group size, location, and phone/WhatsApp number
  • Referral source: If you arrive via a referral or campaign link, we record the referral identifier

Information collected automatically

  • IP address: Used temporarily for rate limiting and CAPTCHA verification; not stored long-term
  • Analytics data: Page views and performance metrics collected via Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (cookieless, privacy-friendly)
  • CAPTCHA data: Interaction tokens processed by Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection; not stored by us

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To register and manage your position on our waitlist
  • To send you transactional emails: welcome confirmation, profile completion reminders, and waitlist updates
  • To prioritise early access based on profile completeness and sign-up date
  • To understand our audience and improve the product before launch
  • To prevent abuse through rate limiting and CAPTCHA verification

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019 and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, we process your data on the following bases:

  • Consent: You provide your information voluntarily by submitting the waitlist form
  • Legitimate interest: Security measures (rate limiting, CAPTCHA) and analytics to improve the service

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Susu. Each provider has its own privacy policy, and your data may be processed outside Nigeria:

  • Appwrite— Cloud database hosting for waitlist data
  • ZeptoMail (by Zoho) — Transactional email delivery
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — Bot protection and CAPTCHA verification
  • Vercel— Website hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring

6. Data Retention

  • Waitlist data is retained until product launch and account migration, or until you request deletion
  • Rate-limiting data (IP addresses) is held in server memory only and automatically purged within 15 minutes
  • Email follow-up tracking flags are stored alongside your waitlist record and deleted when the record is removed

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Server-side API key authentication for database access
  • Input sanitisation on all form submissions
  • Rate limiting to prevent abuse
  • CAPTCHA verification to prevent automated submissions

8. Your Rights

Under the NDPR and NDPA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)

  • This site does not use tracking cookies
  • Cloudflare Turnstile may set strictly necessary functional cookies for bot protection
  • Vercel Analytics uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics

Susu is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
